They Keep Getting Smaller and Smaller...
Have you ever noticed that numeric keypads are getting smaller and smaller? I went into a computer store the other day and saw this tiny little keypad they had in the laptop accessory department. I mean the keys were so tiny that you practically needed a magnifying glass to see them. No, they weren't that small, but they were too small to be useful to me.

Big Full Sized Keys!
But wait there's hope. There's a numeric keypad out there that's not afraid to have BIG FULL-SIZED KEYS. Yep, the new VANTEC has big full sized keys just like they cut them off a standard full sized keyboard.

19 Rubber Membranes
Most numeric keypads (and keyboards for that matter) use a single piece of rubber membrane for the entire keyboard. Not so with the VANTEC keypad. Inside the VANTEC are 19 little rubber membrane key switches, one for every key on the keypad. The result is a keypad with ultra smooth key operation and long lasting durability.

The BS Key?
The VANTEC comes with the all important "BS" key. It comes in very handy for removing all types of "BS" from various documents, spread sheets, etc. The "BS" actually stands for "Back Space", but there's not enough room to print "Backspace" on the key. The backspace key is actually one of the most important features on the VANTEC keypad, because it allows you to correct information without having to go back to the main computer keyboard.

Special Function Keys
The function keys give you one touch access to your Windows Calculator, email system, and Internet Explorer. In addition, there is one programmable function key that allows you to assign it to the software application of your choice. For example, you can assign the programmable key to open up Microsoft Excel® or QuickBooks® Accounting Software.
 

Advanced Electronics - This is not your average "dumb" keypad. The photo above is an actual shot of one of the IC chips that controls the keypad.

508 Compliant - The full sized keys, raised dash on the "5" key, and USB compatibility make the VANTEC compatible with section 508 for most government applications.

More Membranes - Most numeric keypads use a single membrane for the whole keypad, however, the new VANTEC uses 19 individual membranes, one for each key on the keypad.

Adjustable Height Control - The angle of tilt is controlled by a retractable little foot that extends out from the bottom of the keypad.

Special Function Keys - The function keys give you one touch access to your Windows Calculator, email system, Internet Explorer and one programmable function key.
